ANALYSIS OF FACTORS AFFECTING THE DECISION TO USE CREDIT CARD OF INDIVIDUAL CUSTOMERS AT VIETNAM COMMERCIAL BANKS

Abstract
The study was conducted to test, evaluate and measure the factors that affect individual customers’ decisions to use credit cards at commercial banks in An Giang province. The study was conducted through the collection of survey data from 140 individual customers, the research results showed that there are 6 proposed factors including attitude, subjective norm, perceived behavioral control, readiness ability. The response of the banking system, the cost of using the card and the convenience of using the card all have an impact on the decision to use credit cards of individual customers at Vietnamese commercial banks which the cost factor of using the card has a negative impact on the decision to use the credit card. The other 5 factors all positively impact the decision to use the credit card of the individual customer. From the research results, the authors have proposed some solutions to increase individual customers’ use of credit cards at Vietnam commercial banks.
