Abstract
This study was conducted to identify the factors influencing work motivation and measure the extent of their impact, as well as to examine the effect of work motivation on the job performance of administrative staff at public universities in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC). The research surveyed over 200 employees working in various departments of public universities in HCMC. Data analysis methods used include: evaluating the reliability of the measurement scale (Cronbach’s Alpha), Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA), Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA), and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results indicate that all 7 factors positively influence work motivation, ranked in descending order as: Leadership style, Organizational culture, Peer relationships, Salary and benefits, Training and development, Working conditions, and Job autonomy.
