FACTORS IMPACTING SUSTAINABLE TOURISM DEVELOPMENT IN TIEN GIANG

Sustainable tourism development plays a crucial role in enhancing a destination’s competitiveness while preserving its natural and cultural resources. This study examines the factors influencing sustainable tourism development in Tien Giang. Specifically, the study explores the impact of technology, community participation and tourism policy on the sustainable tourism development in the province. In this study, technology, community participation and tourism policy serve as independent variables, while sustainable tourism development is the dependent variable. A questionnaire-based survey was conducted to collect data from 186 tourists in Tien Giang. Based on the findings, several implications are proposed to help policymakers and tourism businesses foster sustainable tourism practices, ensuring long-term economic, social and environmental benefits for the province.
