Tóm tắt
This study investigates the efficacy of black soldier fly (BSF) larvae in bioconverting two types of organic waste: industrial waste (brewery spent grain) and agricultural by-product (pineapple peels), at varying substrate ratios of 100:0, 70:30, 50:50, 30:70, and 0:100. Experimental findings indicate that BSF larvae exhibit robust growth performance across all treatments. Among the tested ratios, the 70:30 mixture of brewery spent grain to pineapple peels yielded the highest efficiency, with a waste reduction rate of 87.86%, larval length of 18.6 mm, width of 5.6 mm, and a biomass conversion rate of 9.45 × 10⁻³ g d-1. These results demonstrate the superior suitability of the 70:30 formulation for large-scale organic waste management. The study highlights the potential of BSF larvae as a sustainable, scalable solution for processing industrial and agricultural organic waste, offering significant environmental and resource utilization benefits.
